I really enjoyed this second installment of the series - it made me look forward to reading the rest of the books. I would even say that I liked Bloodfever better than the first book in the series [although I also gave the first book four stars].
Why did I like this book better? I think it's because you get to know the characters and the world a little more fully in Bloodfever. The first book was so focused on setting up the world and the characters that it seemed as though the plot wasn't fully the focus. Don't get me wrong, I liked the first book...I just liked getting to "know" the characters a little bit more in Bloodfever.
Although, I will admit -- what/who the heck is Jericho Barrons?? I think that may be motivating me to continue reading the series just as much as the over-arching plot.
